The Construction phase is the “Make the changes phase.”  It takes the specific plan from the Elaboration phase and executes it, buying, building or configuring software or one of several other options.  All key external team members, such as vendors and contractors must be involved in this phase.  This phase also includes the production of all training materials and documentation that are required.  Testing of all changes is a requirement of this phase.

Success is achieved when the management representatives sign off on the Construction documents, including test results, training materials and documentation.

Transition is the next phase.
